in the movie cars, they anthropomorphized the cars wrong. everyone knows the headlights are the eyes.

we understand that the windshield is where we actually see from. but the headlights are what makes it look like a face.

without the headlights, the eyes would just be a rectangular glass panel. that's not how eyes look.

however, we can appreciate how it emphasizes that we observe life through a lens, from a perspective. wearing glasses is like that.

that's called subjectivity, baby.

still, it prevents us from just being cars. which is what we wont to do.

because, in this context, we are cars from the movie cars.

if we were cars, the car would have to be from the year we were actually born.
